Hurricane Irma Update

We are keeping a close eye on Hurricane Irma as it moves toward Florida. Here's what to know about our preparations:

- Before the storm hits, we will have all of our foster animals (including the cats who normally live at our office) in foster homes that have comitted to evacuating with their fosters if neccessary.

- As of now, we are in need of just one foster home for two of our longest running office cats, Princess and Smudge. If you're interested in fostering them, please contact Deidre at the LCHS office via email (dcarey@lchs.info) or phone (850-224-9193).

- We would be very grateful for any foster families willing to be on standby in case of an emergency with a foster pet's current foster home. To sign up as a standby emergency foster home for LCHS foster pets, please complete this form

- We have cancelled the September Dog Wash.

- The LCHS office may be closed Monday and/or Tuesday depending on how hard the storm hits.

- Transfer of animals impacted by Harvey is temporarily suspended as we prepare for Irma.

- Keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest updates.

Thank you and stay safe!
